In Situ Monitoring of Gaseous Species by High Resolution Laser Spectroscopy

The LIGHTWISE^TM is a rugged and simple device which measures trace concentrations of molecular/gaseous species even in hostile environments.  The instrument uses inexpensive, reliable tunable diode lasers operating in the near infrared (NIR) spectral region.  The high-resolution nature of lasers coupled with a unique modulation technique facilitates the detection of trace species of choice with high specificity, selectivity and excellent sensitivity.

A LIGHTWISE^TM configured for the measurement of Ammonia (NH₃) concentration and installed in a unique, proprietary probe design was successfully beta-tested at a 500 MW coal-burning power generation station.
